Something is seriously wrong with their design-development process, because I'm sure the person who came up with the idea (or appropriated it from another software company) couldn't have envisioned it working this way. It never ceases to amaze me how Microsoft can occasionally come up with a halfway decent idea for a feature, and then completely ruin it in the implementation. It is time to develop better paint program for Mac users. Paintbrush for Mac hasnt been updated for 5 years and was not compartable with most of Mac system already. Its based on a former drawing software named Paintbrush for Mac. Not only do I fail to see the usefulness of that, but I simply can't follow the logic: "the model paragraph has one word in bold therefore the user must want every word in bold in every target paragraph, regardless of any character formatting already applied"? MyBrushes, an excellent paint program for Mac OS X, is a good alternative to Microsoft Paint and Apple Mac Paint. Instead, it arbitrarily chooses one, for example bold if there is one word in bold in the entire paragraph, and applies it to the paragraph you select to apply the paragraph formatting to, obliterating any character formatting it may have already contained. From a perspective of "what would be useful," I'd expect it toĪny character styles, because it should be obvious that the user is interested only in the paragraph formatting. What I don't get is how it decides, for example, which character styles to copy when you select a whole paragraph with mixed character styles. Once it opens, PASTE and the screenshot will be there. Or Control-click (or right-click) the item you selected, then choose Paste from the shortcut menu. After you make a copy of the screenshot, open Paintbrush then select NEW file. Or choose Paste from the Edit menu in the menu bar. That's it, now the contents of file.txt will be in your clipboard, ready to paste. This can then be accessed either through pbpaste, or the standard Finder’s paste command (command-v). It will then remain active until you click the icon again. Press Command-V on your keyboard to paste the item you cut or copied. pbcopy is simple enough to use, basically direct something into it, and it’ll copy it into the clipboard buffer. Command+V to paste a picture, text, or any file you copied or cut. Use this combination if you want to delete the item after pasting it into another location. Just select the item and press this key combination. If you want it to work for more than one click, double-click the paintbrush icon instead of clicking it. Step 3: With the paintbrush tool, click the object you want to paste the formatting to (if you used the Copy Style method, you will right-click and select. Copy and Paste keys on a Mac: Command+C to copy a picture, text, or any file on Mac.
